thermostat: heat / electric

I have a 2017 383FB. When I set the stat to heat electric, both a/c and the floor heat comes on. The tech said it was to circulate the air better. I looked at the Colman unit data and it shows an electric heat strip. What is the cycle of operation dos anyone know the cycle?

Sorry I have no idea. I tried electric heat & wasn't impressed. We bought a couple small electric heaters & with fireplace it heats up nicely.

Is this a heat pump on the AC unit or just an electric heat strip?

we just bought the 383FB. When you say you have electric heat are you referring a system with a fan and the usual floor vents or are you referring to the propane furnace. Our thermostat allows us to choose heat or AC. Just curious if these came with in floor heat or electric furnaces>

No electric furnaces. Some ac units have a heat pump or heat strip.

Thanks, I was not aware a heat pump is an option.
