Tree Sap

Anyone have a good way to clean tree sap off what I believe is a rubber roof on my 2014 Sabre 5th wheel? Am I better off not messing with it and let mama nature take care of it? Will it do any harm?

Tree Sap can be nasty. I've had good luck removing it with mineral spirits or believe it or not, just by rubbing with "shortening". The shortening often does a better job than the mineral spirits/paint thinner. If it's on a rubber roof I would just use the shortening as it's vegetable based and rubber roofs don't like petroleum products. Cooking oil can work too.

Once the sap has been removed with the above, then just wash the oily residue off with some regular liquid dish soap like Dawn.

The longer you leave it the more it might damage the painted surfaces and at the least, attract dirt and mold.

Peanut Butter...
I didn't believe it myself until we stayed at a campground that had us covered in sap.. The owner of the campground gave us the suggestion to use peanut butter, we all laughed.. then went back to the trailer and tried it.
It works fantastic.
