Valterra Twist on Waste Valve

While dumping this morning I found a snapped O-Ring under my rig. Not sure where it came form or if it is from my rig. I wonder if anyone can please tell me if the cover of the Valterra twist on valve that I have at the end of my sewer line has an O-Ring about 2.5-3 inches. If the link below works it will identify which valve I am speaking of.

Thanks

Well

OK, I looked and don't have an O-Ring. Now can you tell me if the one I found under the rig came off the cap from where it belongs or is it just a an O-Ring from someone else?

What am I missing? That's not an answer........

Maybe I should have said "If the cover should have an O-Ring" I am not an English major.....

On quiet days when I have nothing to do, I take my bag of cut o-rings and scatter them around the park. It's so much fun! Sorry, couldn't help myself!!

Seriously, how could anyone tell you if it came off of another rig?

Personally, I would assume that it came off another rig as most o-rings are captured. Then I would watch for any drips under my trailer for a while, especially when the tanks were at or near capacity.

HELP!!!!!!!

Why is this so difficult? I am only asking for someone who has this valve to look inside their cover to see if theirs has an O-Ring. If not, OK, I am good. If yes, than mine is missing the O-Ring regardless if it was the one I found or not.

The sewer hose should have an "O" ring in its connector. Did you dump?

OK, went out and took pics of mine. Yes, it has an o-ring on the cap and an o-ring where it mounts to the drain pipe. This is the end that attaches to the drain pipe from RV..

This is cap that covers the valve.. Go get an o-ring or you will not be able to balance your grey tanks without a drip..

OK, so go to the store and find the connector just like yours and see if there is an O ring in it (all my caps have rings of some sort). If it does and yours doesn't, try the one you picked up off the ground (clean it first) and if it fits you are all set. You can also buy another one at Camping World if yours leaks.

The other thing you should watch is that the plastic hose sometimes gets leaks in it. These things don't last forever, so make sure your hoses are good and the connections from the connectors to the hose itself is tight and good. The better the hose, the more it costs, but it is worth it. The cheap ones don't last very long. I just had a connector give up the ghost after 10 years (one of the prongs broke off) and with a spare in the box, it was a no problem fix. Enjoy your camping.
