Payload

If you go to the Ford site and Price & Build your F-250 you can see on the right hand side of the screen as you add or delete options it shows you the towing capability and payload just to the right of the price. A F-250 Lariat, 4 X 2, Crew Cab with Gas engine & short bed has a payload of 3630 lbs (as shown on the right hand side of the screen) (small letters & numbers), substitute the diesel for the gas engine and payload drops to 2980 lbs. Substitute 4 X 4 for the 4 X 2 and payload drops to 2620 lbs. Try it. It surprised me.

Let me know if you agree

The Diesel engines are heavier than the gas engines. We also have a 31CKTS and pull it with a Silverado 2500HD and have no problems.

By the way

By the way Ragin Cajun. Ordered my 32 RCTS 3 weeks ago. Currently in production. Looks like mid July for delivery. My Ford soap box car is supossed to be at the dealer today. We can get together and drag race some day.

Be safe out there.

The F350 solid front axle makes a difference. The window sticker and invoice sheet tells all. If these links are viewable the F250 lists GVRW of 10000 and the F350 lists GVRW of 11500. The F350 does weigh more, the F350 weighs about 7400. Make sure you see the invoice sheet to see the weight of the truck off the assembly line and the GVRW
