Where is the on/off switch for my central vacuum

I have a 2014 Palomino Columbus and we have the central vacuum and all of the attachments but have no clue how to operate it. I plugged the hose into the inlet under the stairs but nothing happened. I found where the waste bag goes and that is it so far. Any help would be great. The waste canister is labeled Eureka YellowJacket.

It should turn on when you plug in the hose. Make sure the vacuum is plugged into an outlet and the outlet has power. Just follow the cord from the vacuum where you put in the bag

The canister with the bag is built into the wall of the storage area, I have no clue where the actual unit is located. Im guessing behind that wall.

Check the plugin and breaker as posted. If not either of those you have a faulty yellow jacket. Ours didnt work from day one so we had to get a new one

The end of the hose has a metal strip for contact. Make sure you are inserting the hose so the strip is in line with two metal contacts that stick down from the inside opening at the top. Open the plastic door for the hose and look at the round hole. You will see the contacts.

It may sound like a silly question but are you plugged into shore power or have a generator running. I am not trying to belittle anyone but we have had people that thought the 120 volt outlets ran off the batteries. Unless the vacuum is 12 volt, I do not have one so my knowledge is limited.

Toe kick on floor turns the vacuum on and when the hose is plugged in it switches to hose.
