Where to hook up new Watts regulator

I just received my new Watts adjustable regulator today from RV waterfilterstore.com. Model # X65BG w/guage.

Since the bell needs to be upright, do I hook the regulator up at the trailer ? Our Columbus 295RL has the water closet hook up area.

The manual that came with the regulator says to set it at 60-65 lbs. Is that good, or should I set it higher or lower ?

Thanks for your help.

Jon

I might have a different model than you- I'm not sure what you mean by "bell". I have installed mine directly after my 45-degree elbow off of my city water hookup on the camper (in the water closet). I actually want to make/buy a 2' hose so that I can leave it hooked up all of the time.

60-65 psi seems high. I usually have mine set for 40-45.

If you hook it up at the supply faucet you will protect your hose also. I have mine set between 50 and 55lbs.

I've been considering one of those fancy adjustable regulators.
Please give me your opinion if you think they're worth it and how they work.
It's difficult to enjoy my large shower with water that's just spitting out on you from the shower head.
Thanks.

Between that and the Oxygenics shower head, I feel like I get a decent shower. I'm pretty picky as I have long flowing locks of beautifully thick hair and so does my wife.

x2 on hooking the press reg @ the campground faucet, blow a hose in the middle of the night and you could have some very upset neighbors!!!
