We run with the wh on propane, don't see any reason you couldn't run the furnace IF it would stay lit.

If I were you, I wouldn't de-winterize until I got to at least the NC-SC border and the re-winterize when at the same place on the way home. We leave Concord, NC the last of Nov. and come back the middle of Mar and have not winterized a camper since moving to Concord in 2002.

We live in Sun City Center, about 20 miles south of Tampa, We have never winterized in the past 30 years here. Never had a problem. Now parks, Florida State parks are great. Church of God has a campground in Wimauma and lot of campers come in here for the winter. Might just google it, lot of info on line. There is one next to Walmart and for the life of me, I can not remember it. Safe, but not fancy. We will be at Little Manatee river state park on and off in October.

Also have a Hensley Hitch which that eliminates all sway. Pricey, but worth it.
