Winterized and emptied : (

I winterized last week, but spent today completely emptying everything out of every storage area and shelf in the whole Sabre. It's headed back to the factory for a sidewall crack. Always sad to winterize, but having to empty it out really bummed us out. Hope that since winter came early, it'll be home early too!!

Geeze I'm not sure we'd totally empty ours if it ever has to go back to the factory. (knock on wood)

I'd be inclined to just remove the valuable stuff and let 'em deal with the various and sundry household items.

JT, is this your first or second factory return?

Weezer, I hear what you're saying but the empty it direction came from the factory.

First go round. Gary says things are improving since you were there. I may have dropped some names when I first connected him. . Unfortunately, I emailed Thursday to key him know it was ready anytime after this weekend, but haven't heard back yet. The really long story is our house has been for sale for 5 months, and wouldn't ya know it, singing purchase agreement any day now. I'd like to get the Sabre to the factory and back by Christmas, but doubt that will happen at this point. It'll take an extra moving trailer just for all the camper stuff! and we don't even have a place to move to... Buying a house that we can't occupy for 16 months so gotta find a decent rental in the mean time... Going to be a long winter :0

I sent mine to the factory September 8th and had it back the second week of October. It went in for this same repair. It was pleased with their work and Gary was good to deal with. They also fixed quite a few other little things I mentioned while they had it.

Good Luck

I'm glad to hear things are much improved. I'm sure Gary will tell stories of him, me, and the plant manager sitting and talking about how they messed up. I laid out a bunch of things that I and other customers would expect from a factory return. Professional and polite, but no one candy coated things. I'm glad to hear they're living up to those promises.

Transporter will pick up in the morning. Gary sounded very positive in his emails to me, so I'm hoping for the best! Pics to follow tomorrow

Mine is sitting at the dealer ready for pick-up. Dropped it off a few weeks ago after winterizing it, they and a list of 25 plus items to fix! Including repainting the whole front cap and changing all storage and outdoor kitchen doors!

Picking it up next week and then it is going to its winter storage spot!

Winter better go by quick!!!!

Well, she's gone. My poor two year daughter cried when the truck pulled away with our Sabre. driver seemed nice enough, so I hope its n good hands. His sad little dodge was squatting pretty bad, and he had debts in his truck from another fiver and even a bumper hitch of some sort. Sheeesh.

That's always tough to watch happen! I have say- the drivers trucks that I saw had to be grossly overloaded at times and 3 of the 4 were in rough shape. One of which, his tailgate would not go down due to a dropped fiver (he says landing gear gave out :shrugs; he extended the landing gear incredibly high to get the pin to clear it!

Here's to hoping that you have it back soon enough!
