Hot water tank

Just noticed last nite the pressure valve dripping. Reason for concern?? What might cause this?? Tks!!!

Open it, let a little water out and let it close again quickly. Some times it can get some crud in it or just not seat properly.

Sometimes it's because when the release toggle is not allowed to snap back into position after opening after pressurizing the system it might leak a little. Also, some leakage from the valve could be normal as stated in the owners manual I have.

Had this issue last year while at Crater Lake, Flybob is correct.

It took 4 quick flips to get it to stop leaking, I used a hand towel to keep the hot water from going every place.

Do be very careful.
