Propane tank time

Approximaty how long should a tank of LP last if your running say the refrig. and cooking but not running the generator? The delivery driver said he had the refrig. running since he picked it up which had been about 12 hours. Seems like the LP was gone pretty quickly for just that amount of time and just the refrig. running???

I am on almost 15 days and still have half a tank. Drove for 15 hours with fridge running. I have cooked every night on the stove, use the lp to supplement the electric water heater, and the heater was used for two nights intermittently. 20lb tank too.

To many variables here.
Outside temp.
Inside temp.
How often fridge door is open.
If you put warm item in fridge.

I have 30 lb cylinders which you might want to up grade to.

Memorial weekend I ran the fridge on propane from Friday noon till Sunday 4 Pm.
And ran hw heater on propane the time as well.

My question is how do you know its half full? Any propane gauge is rarely accurate.

2- 30 lb tanks last me all year ( may - October) and I have yet to run out.

The RV is new just received it from the dealer there was nothing in the Refrig the delivery driver had it running to show me that it was working. the tank gauge was showing 1/4 tank and the control panel gauge was showing one light instead of 4. I've never had this type of system on an RV I've gone from a popup to a motorhome so am some what in the dark on how some of this works.

Id have to guess it was not full to begin with or gauges are wrong.
If I had to guess your dealer cheaped out on ya and didn't fill it.

X2 - I am thinking the dealer cheaped him out of the propane

I ran 2 - 20lb tanks for almost 8 months with the fridge running on each trip and grilling each trip

It could have air in it. I just learned this the hard way. My 'empty' tank weighed 33 lbs and should have an empty weight of 24.x lbs. as stamped on the tank. We went through 2-30lb tanks in 7 nights - I definitely got cheated somewhere along the line.

Got back from N.D. Wednesday running Refrig the entire time, cooking and ran hot water heater once came back after 3 days with a full tank showing on my LP gauge. I sent the dealer a bill not that that'll do any good.

I have only had my LP tanks serviced twice so far, but each time wnen each tank was full, there was a venting of the excess propane you could see and hear.

Isn't that a foolproof way of knowing when the tank is full when servicing?
