105mm howitzer truck mounted Cannon.

I don't know how my boss gets into these things but I'll try to make this short and sweet.
Some of you may know that the arsenal in the quad cities usa builds Canon's and such.
The pictured unit is a prototype of sorts but cost if you can believe it is prohibitive to sell this unit to third world countries.
470,000.00 dollars on this mack chassis.

There looking to mount the canon on a hummer or hd truck chassis.

My boss through word of the grapevine let them demensionalize his military/civilian hummer for specs.

He in return gets a state of the art suspension installed in the hummer.
Talk about cost prohibitive!

I just thought this might be interesting to share.

I would say that when they light off that gun, the rear end will bounce a lot more and feel worse than going over a bridge expansion joint in the great Northeast after a bad winter.

Yesterday I found out a little more about how my boss is involved in this project as 3 engineers from the rock island arsenal came by the shop to measure up my bosses civilianized hummer to see if it feasible to install this cannon on it.

This is what the do with Humvees @ Lockheed. Watch the video, there are no explosives in the rocket, just kinetic energy. Doesn't shake the Humvee that much, but they do feel the heat.
BTW, they found the turret a 1/4 mile away.
