Just a taste for ya!
We finished out the trim upstairs on the cabin. We planned on buying a new bed for our house and taking our existing bed down to the cabin, so we did that this weekend. Just an FYI... if you are very good, and very careful, you can get an entire king-size bed into the inside of a Ford Excursion. Mattress, box springs, headboard, frame, the whole schlemiel.
The head-board was custom made for us by my buddies dad. I shellacked and stained it to match the walls and trim in the cabin. Of course, the wife bought some suitable bedding that we had to bring down too. We had also picked out some curtains and valances, and I figured I would put them up while we were there. I still have to install the door for the bathroom, and put on the electrical plates, but the upstairs is pretty much done. Now the wife can start the decoration in earnest.

I am so pumped! This is a big milestone, and everything is looking better than I had ever hoped. It's been a long journey from this:
Now just to move the operations to the downstairs and get going on finishing that out.
