A warning to Winter Texans

Progresso is a dump. Went on a cruise February and that was one of the stops...never again. We stayed close to the beach and didn't venture too far from the bus stop.

Don't think progreso at the border has a beach 😎, went across few years back and had a good time. Place was full of winter Texans. Stayed in South Padre KOA.

Yes it would as Progreso is about 25 miles inland from the Gulf.

There are 2 different Progreso's, one is a cruise ship destination on the Yucatan. And the other is....err was a great little town to day trip from Corpus while growing up....

One of my customers just came back from the "tourist" part of progresso....with a black eye and short some cash courtesy of the "armed soldiers".....

He is FROM mexico...he speaks better spanish than english...he went to have a tooth pulled....

But hey.....do what ya like...its a risk and as long as your ok with it, then enjoy.....
