A wonderful thing happened

TOWTA and I went to SoJo's Japanese Steak House in Concord tonight and met 2 couples celebrating a little girl's birthday. So, in keeping with what I usually do, while we were waiting to be seated, I made the little girl and her sister $1 bill rings. As luck would have it, we were seated with the 2 couples and then while waiting on our chef, I made the girls flying birds out of cocktail napkins. After a delicious meal, the aunt and uncle to the 2 little girls said thank you for showing such kindness our nieces, your dinners have been paid for. In all my years, I have never had complete strangers show such generosity. It made our eyes leak. Restores our faith that there are still good folks among us. We will definitely play it forward.

Good for you. I have paid meals for people that looked like they were down on their luck. I think you both were winners.

Your kindness is a wonderful testimony; those little girls will probably never forget that & neither will a lot of us. You are a great example of love for others.

Great folks. That is the way things should be. When I see people respond to others like that, it makes me want to do something, if even a pat on the back, for them. OldCoot, you did something very simple and made a big impact. You may well have made an impression that the youngsters could form who they become. I am sure they saw the reaction of the folks they can with.

OC, I know that you didn't do that with any expectation of getting anything back but smiles from those kids, but what a great story. Thanks for sharing it.

(BTW, I still have the dollar bill bird that you gave me.)

Wow! Great happenings. Blessings distributed to all involved... the little girls, the two couples, you and your DW plus the cashier and others observing. Thanks for doing that and thanks for the report.

I certainly hope I'm still in todays world (), but I understand what you're saying. Too many folks are just interested in their own affairs.
