Adding springs to OC's awning pole kit

I'm thinking of adding springs between the tie down straps and the earth anchors.

Good or bad? If good, what size would you recommend? light, medium or heavy duty?

I'm just thinking a bit of flex would be a good thing.

Never used them so far, just haven't seen the need. The whole idea is to keep the awning from moving. With my de-flappers, I think we will have all movement/noise stopped.
