All Mods Completed (I think)

Well, with the rear stab jack reinforcing done and adding drawers to one of the wardrobe cabinets completed I think that completes all the mods I wanted to make. May get some cabinet grade plywood and re-make the drawers so they match the cabinet a little better, but TOWTA doesn't know if she likes them, so we'll see how it goes on the trip to Goshen, IL, IA, MO AR as to whether I re-make the drawers or scrap them.

Thanks Herk, but not too pleased with the drawers even tho' they work great I just used scrap that I had as TOWTA wasn't too fond of the idea and I didn't want to buy a sheet of good plywood and then have to throw them away. Been there done that.

The drawers look fantastic!

If it were me, I'd paint them a medium to dark brown. That way you would not have to remake them.

You also might try some Polyshades (stained laquer from Minwax) if you can find a shade that will match the cabinets.

Sorry for all the advice but I build furniture and thought I would throw this out.

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate the advice, but if TOWTA decides she doesn't like them, they're history, pure & simple.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments. Just wish I had better scrap material to use.

Wish I wasn't such a wood butcher. That mod looks like it makes those areas much more useful, being able to pull things out to get at the back.

Might have to find someone to fabricate the shelves for me.

OC, if you abort on this mod, please PM me about your residue.
