Almost there

Well stocked-up the camper today, and made reservations for our FIRST trip of the year. We're going to Pymatuning Oh. for Easter weekend. Only thing left before pulling out is see if campground has turned water on yet. If not I'll be sanitizing the fresh water tank this week. New trl and we've never used it yet. Don't remember how much bleach I need for a 30 gl water tank to sanitize it. Any help with how much???

The formula I use is 1/4 cup of bleach mixed in with 1gl of water for every 15gls so 1/2 cup bleach mixed in two gls of water for your 30 gl FW tank should do it.

Start with an almost full FW tank, add the mixture above.

Open all faucets and shower heads and let run for a minute until you smell the bleach.

Then let it sit for 3-4 hours (I let it sit overnight as its more convenient).

Drain, fill and flush with the fresh water.

You're good to go!

on your first rip of the season!

I had to write this down, I like your formula, Triguy.

Glockfanjohn: we'll be camping at Pymatuning Valley Resort, Williamsfield, it's part of the Resorts of Distinction chain. This will be the first time for us in the Pymatuning area. Their campground turned on the water 3 weeks ago, and our home campground in Niagara Falls doesn't open till 1 May.
