Another Spin Off From Tow Rig Thread
5.3 1/2-ton with leveling kit is not so great a tow vehicle for 5,600# ...
6.0/4-speed Hummer SUT is an ok tow vehicle for 5,200# or 6,000# ...
6.2/6-speed Hummer SUV is not so great a tow vehicle for 9,700# ...
6.7 Power Stroke F250 will be plenty of tow vehicle for 9,700# ...

Another Spin Off From Tow Rig Thread
HA...i once low ball bid , VERY LOW BALL (and i had been drinking.....a lil) on a H2 6.2 on ebay......woke up next day and had WON it!! (no reserve auction)... i grappled with either trying to get out of it or telling the wife about a new toy.....
i told the wife it was a an "investment"....heheh....anyway, i got it, it was nice, had a small lift and aftermarket wheels and stereo.....
was a SLUG in power and drank gas like i do cold beer.....i put on cold air, exhaust, and and edge tuner......still was horrible.....and towing even my crownline e4 boat was sad! (looked cool as the colors matched)..
ended up selling/trading it to one of my employees....and even he used to say i must have been mad at him to sell him that thing...hahaha...
dont even get me started on the diesel h1 i daily drove for 3 months... no sir....
ford 6.7 all the way everyday!..(minus the 225$ oil and fuel filter change i just did....parts ONLY)....lol...whats that saying about pay to play.....can i just rent to enjoy a lil?...haha

The 6.0/4-speed was definitively a slug, but the wife loved Hummers and I was game .... SUT it was. When I later drove a 2008/2009 model, they were soooo much nicer in my opinion and I searched for an Ultra Marine Edition SUV (1 of 750 SUV's & SUT's). The 6.2/6-speed was twice the Hummer the 2007 and earlier models are in my opinion. I really liked it and we searched for an "Ultra Lite" Work and Play 16UL which was perfect behind the Hummer. Once we found it, it was waaaay too small so we stepped up to the 18EC. The Hummer would be fine for flat towing the 18EC, but not so great for the mountains around here and the combo came in at 12,750 completely unloaded. Add in fuel, driver/passenger, Street Glide, water and gear and we were well over the 15,000 GCWR ... in comes the 6.7. As you said, you have to pay to play!

Low 7's at 103 mph and low 11's at 122 mph ... I was never able to hook it with the 27" QTP's as you can see by the mph. She had 6's/10's in it. I was just about to go to 28" ET Drag slicks when I was offered what I had in it. The following month, I found this on Ebay ....
