What make "wannabe" truck is that which can't handle a small camper?? I bet they can see a lot of tree leaves at night but not very good at the white stripes. Perhaps they parked in the dark and couldn't see the parking lines.

Perhaps - but no matter how you slice it, you and I share the road with these types.

I was going to use that terminology but didn't know how far it would go.

That's a lot of angst and anger over something so simple.

That said, in the original picture - the far side line is so much in shadow and at an angle, that it's hard for me to tell if the driver is or isn't in the lines. It almost looks like he's right up against it, or if over - just slightly (which is impressive given the size of that handicap spot).

But, may I suggest your favorite calming remedy be employed when you see these dangers to the road?

I think you have to take into account the totality of this particular situation. Clearly, this person cares about no one but themselves. The vehicle is un-safe, the parking, obviously very little concern about getting it right. My guess is, they are in the spot illegally or were able to buy a handicap permit.
Based on what I see in this picture, I think all the above are very safe assessments of the person in charge of that vehicle.

Being friends with a few people who need those parking spots, I am not one to pick. I'd say he was inside the lines, so no harm there; It's an end spot, so even if not centered, does not look to be a hazard.

The unit has a helper bar and extending step, a couple of useful mods for someone in need of help. Those campers are made for a longer bed, so putting the CofG so far back is a risk, but for a careful driver may be OK. Air bags would be a good idea, but for a short haul, off highways probably not an issue.

I see a fellow RVer, one with physical disabilities, doing what he can within a limited budget.

What's to complain about, really? OK, maybe the green drapes.

I guess since you can only stear it while your braking, it's not that bad a parking job.......

That vehicle is clearly taking up two spaces - look at the handicapped sign for the space to his right and you will see its right in the center of the space as it is normal. His vehicle is over the handicapped sign and there is too much space between the vehicle and the white line.

Looks like it is taking one van size space. Around here they paint a blue rectangle next to the regular size spot, but they are up in BC, so probably have a different std.

(shrugs) We are obviously interpreting the picture differently.
