Anybody else have this priority?

Ok, usually when I camp I bring my own booze. Kid is grown and it's just the wife and I. I enjoy cold beers (many) around the campfire. Anyway, after arriving at a campsite and setting up, my first priority is finding out where the nearest liquor store is because eventually, I'm gonna run out.

The grocery store is second. What are your priorities?

That pretty much covers it for the no kids crowd. Around here, if the liquor store is not inside the grocery store, its right next door. Krogers are really good for that.

we also bring our own booze but i don't drink that much beer. i usually bring a 12 pack of microbrew beer, which is heavier and more filling than "Lite" tasteless beer.

so, we don't need to find any liquor stores unless we were on an extended trip.

At home, we drink a couple glasses of wine every Saturday night. That's it. But when camping, we drink a couple glasses of wine EVERY night. I don't know why. Maybe because camping is more of a social event than just sitting around the house. Maybe it's because we consider camping the ultimate form of relaxation. I don't know.

It's a phenomenon that even we can't really figure out. But we have a good time.

Same thing here, we don't drink much at home, but get to a camp site and it's a different world, there is lots of beer and wine

Yep, one of the first things we did down here was buy our favorite premixed beach drinks, Zombie and Bahama Mama in the 1.75 liter bottles. Around the campfire we prefer wine, but beer works for us too.

I try to estimate need and bring enough to last the trip. Sometimes that results in google maps telling me where to get some more. Most of the time I am good on food and booze for my trip.

Kids don't want to camp with us now, school, jobs, friends and mom and dad are old fogies.

When we did camp with them they had to make room for the beer cooler.

Now we have lots of room for beer and a real fridge in the TT.

I think beer should be a currency. You can always judge whether to buy something based on the number of cases of beer it would cost ...

one nice thing about the outdoor kitchen, fridge for beer. As long as fridge and beer is good and cold when leaving, its good for a couple hours till we get plugged back in. Usually a 30 pack and a bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. And I agree with everyone else, something about the camping environment that makes them go down nicely

We also don't drink much at home, just the occasional libation. But camping, woo hoo. We camp with BIL and I blame it on him. When we travel to Canada to camp with them I am in charge of the liquor supplies as it is 1/3 the price here, so last fall for 4 rum drinkers for 15 days I smuggled 12 60 oz bottles of Bacardi in. We had a GREAT time.

I pack the cooler with what I think I will drink and then double it and pack the truck. That way I don't have to go back to store when I get home.

Chopin vodka, apple pie shine my neighbor makes and 2 cases of beer. If in Wisconsin that beer is always Spotted Cow. Love that stuff.
