We leave the Friday before Thanksgiving and start working our way to Henderson Beach State Park near Destin, FL. We actually get there on Sunday and will have to leave the day after Turkey Day. Last trip for 2014.

Not on Thanksgiving week, but I'll be tailgaiting with the RV at the Texas State vs Georgia Southern game on Veterans Day weekend. Texas State University is located in the Texas Hill Country area which is beautiful. My daughter attends school there so we get to spend some time with her.

We're celebrating the holiday with the family early this year!

So camping on Turkey Day is a definite possibility! Thanks for the idea!

I'll be at Lake Louisa St. Park in Orlando for Thanksgiving. My family has been planning this for almost a year and we all have adjacent campsites. I can't wait!

I'm with RKR, food, beer and football at Joe Pool Lake, family if they come out. It usually is not bad here in Texas at Thanksgiving.

Last year we went to Bill Fredrick Turkey Lake Park in Orlando over Thanksgiving and really enjoyed it. So we are doing the same thing again this year. We were by ourselves last year but, this year we have local friends and friends from Tennessee joining us. Should be a great time.

Not this year..the DW and I both are working the day after. We did go to Navarre, Fl, Emerald Beach RV, two years ago at T-giving. Great spot on the beach. I kayaked & swam in the Gulf on turkey Day with temps in the high 70's...wonderful place and great holiday trip. We look forward to doing it again.

I was just there this past weekend. Great Place with lots of activities for the kids that don't involve giving money to a mouse.

We spend every Thanksgiving at a campground in the foothills of North Carolina, where the resident chef/owner prepares a feast for everyone. Last year the temp got down to single digits one night, but that's very unusual. We camp all winter long down here.
