Camped in a small NC state park the week before Thanksgiving last year. The camp host left on Saturday leaving just us and one other camper. Very peaceful.

Headed to Sedona, AZ for the week with a quick stop in flagstaff to see a friend. Snow or no snow- should be beautiful.

Sadly, predictions here in the Rocky's predict low-20's (or colder) in about two weeks.

So we're heading out Thursday for our final four days of camping for 2014...and winterizing Sunday. (But in our five years of camping here in Colorado, this is the first time we were able to stretch out the season due to unusually warm October we're thankful!) Did you catch the segway into Thanksgiving right there?

Depends on Mother Nature, if the temps get down to the mid 30's before Thanksgiving, we will head south and spend Thanksgiving in a campground farther south. If not, will leave Fri after Thanksgiving for FL until mid Mar.

We did 2 years ago, then the crappy weather last year necessitated quick we'll see what this year's weather brings. I like being able to go to the sister's house, have dinner, and then retreat to the camper in a nearby CG. It's a good strategy...

No camping after this weekend for us... Winterizing time. However, we will be on the beaches of Playa del Carmen for Thanksgiving. Hope they have turkey!
