Anyone sell a lot on Ebay?

I have not touched Ebay for about 10 years so I am not sure how it may have changed.. But looking to see if there is any one on here that sells a lot. As our daughter is growing I am mounting up a large pile of her clothes that she out grows weekly so it seems. We also have all her toys, swings, and various other baby stuff that can be off loaded.

I have been thinking of maybe putting it up on Ebay. Big question is how to address shipping. Clothes are light but I am trying to see how I should address the cost part, what do you do to cover the most areas of the country when setting a price. Thanks.

I got rid of a lot if that stuff on craigslist. Meet in a local public place. No shipping to mess with. Deal in cash only. Create a special email account for craigslist that isn't connected to anything else so spam isn't an issue.

If you are into Facebook, there are a lot of groups there, to advertise your clothes to.

My boy is three. Every 6 months or so, the DW either sells, or donates boxes of his old clothes.

Thank you both. My fear with Craigs list is the constant need to meet but maybe I'm just over thinking. Never thought of face space. Kenny, does your wife sell on Facebook?

We don't sell much anymore, but we still buy a lot off of ebay. Anymore it seems if its a cheaper item, after fees and all there really isn't much left. We have a 14, 7 and 4 year old and we are in the process of selling our house and we have tons of kid clothes. My wife has had good luck selling stuff on facebook garage sale sites and i sell big ticket stuff on Craigslist all the time.
Honestly if your set on ebay, i use to look at what others charged and figure it that way. Sometimes you get the short end, but sometimes you come out a little ahead. Thats what I would do or make sure you can get the us postal service 1 price shipping box thing.
Good luck!

Exclamation Please be careful selling on craigslist

Sold just about everything you can think of on craigslist. And like asquared said, meet in a public place (cash only).

If you dont like the sounds of things with someone, DONT DO IT!

Not sold on eBay. Not actually sure where to go. Thought eBay would be good but maybe not. I am not a Facebooker but might need to check it out. How's payment handled? All local?

X3 on Craigslist ... much simpler selling semi local without worrying about boxing and deciding how to absorb or charge for shipping fees. Transactions in public areas, cash, take a friend along for company.

If you do eBay you will need to set up an eBay account and an account with Paypal. If you sell an item they pay you through Paypal then Paypal lets you know the payment was received then you ship per your plan stated in the sale listing. You can state local only if you choose, make sure you state in your listing if returns/refunds are allowed also state returned items are to be at the buyers cost.

I'm the guy that would set this up like a buy bust lol.. I'd have me making the sell while another vehicle monitors from a distance incase it goes south!
