My kid put out awning, rain storm and wind puddled and bent frame on one side. Some friends were close by and took it off. I keep it at my fishing camp in FL all the time. How much will it cost to fix frame and put back up? Thinking about just putting a cheap carport over the whole camper and have it 18' wide. What do you experienced campers think? I have a 2012 Surveyor 296, I think is the number. Thanks!
If you never travel with the trailer, there are way better options for some cover other than fixing the awning. Even the older manual awnings are susceptible to element damage.
Your mention of a carport is one such idea.
