Try rubbing alcohol right after getting stung. It neutralises the toxin from the sting.

Several things. Pack baking soda on it or try Apple cider vinegar. And my new best friend - Afterbite. Sold at most drugstores. It's comes as a roll on pen or gel. Really helps the itch. Also, my other best friend - A gel pack (when not available resort to frozen bag of vegetables. You can eat them for dinner after they thaw.) Hope you get relief soon!

x3 on the baking soda paste, ASAP after getting is amazingly effective against pain and swelling. Couldn't tell you why, though.

This was gonna be my advise as well. Would have given you an excuse to get a plug of Day's Work, too.
