The ones that turn up their boom box and then LEAVE for the rest of the day!

And the ones that have the music up so loud that they have to shout to eachother to be heard.

Or how about the ones that don't put out their campfire so that it flares up and sends sparks flying everywhere after they leave.

The great mystery is how people can be so clueless. Have they no sense of boundaries or personal space or awareness that there actually are others in the world that might not share their taste in music, views on their signifcant others intelligence, etc.

I don't expect people to creep around like mice, but really, folks! OK, rant over!

People who walk through my campsite to get to where they are going. This is my campsite-I paid for it. Also people with dogs that do not clean up after them.

I don't mind the people walking through....It's kind of amusing when they trip on the wires. LMAO.

JK, Of course. Oil slicks are easier to install.

Pot smokers are usually quiet and keep to themselves.
Drunks think they are the life of the campground, and seem to need to let everyone know how much fun they are. Growing up with an alcoholic for a "father" has taught me how stupid drinkers can be.

I tend to agree that stoners are usually easier to deal with than drunks. However drunks usually don't walk up to you and pour booze in your childerns mouths, unlike weed smoke that fills the air and my children breathe it in. More often than not once I walk up on them and explain that I really don't want my kids breathing the smoke most of the time they are cool about it. Its the guy that tells me to go fornicate with myself that ends up having a really bad camping "trip".

To each their own, but not at the expense of my good time and relaxation.

Now you're just being silly. Your kids inhale a lot worse stuff sitting by your campfire, than a few whiffs from a joint 50 feet away. Besides, they are probably hanging out with them after you have gone to bed!

Definately- people shortcutting through your campsite.

Other pet peeves...

1) People who lock their car doors with their remotes and their vehicle confirms with a flashing lights and a loud chirp of the horn. Love it in the middle of the night

2) Load music after midnight

3) Dogs from neighboring campsites that tend to roam around your picnic table and relieve themselves in your campsite (yes, it did happen to us).

4) I know it's gross, when you camp in a location with modern plumbed restrooms and then you find that some people still won't flush the stuff down!

Finally....

5) Rude campground management / staff.

Yes you are right, my 10, 7, 5, and 18 month old sneak out and hang out with the stoners. You're right, I'm the one being silly.

SPPD, lighten up dude. Can't take a bit of ribbing?
We tend to do that here, but my apologies if you were offended.

As long as they share their doritos, I am cool with them.

I just found out the other day, without having gone camping in three weeks, that one of my biggest pet peeves is power surges and low voltage. Boy, that really P's me off!

People that leave the switch in the on position at the post. Why they would pull their power cord without switching it off FIRST is beyond me...

Remind me to avoid the campgrounds you visit!

Rain and bugs are two thins i don't much like. Crowded swimming pools.

We rarely camp at public CGs. THe few times at state parks have been the quietest, "loneliest" camping trips. One state CG on lake erie (literally, property abutted the lake) we were alone one night and at the busiest there were 3 campers there - in late June no less!
