Campground flood water

Many of the sites are closed due to high water here at Coles Creek on Carlyle Lake in IL. The campground host told us that if we receive 2 inches or more of rain the entire campground will be closed and we'll have to leave. Come on Mother Nature, cut me some slack. Looking at our fifth wheel across the flooded site 34.

You could have just got 6 more inches of snow and 12+ at the campsites!

I feel for you Oakman but I have yet to be able to go at all because of snow. Going to be close to July before I can camp without mud in the Mountains.

Yes, that really is worse. It's raining hard right now so we're hoping for the best.

At least you're not getting charged extra for a water view. Seriously, I hope it starts to get better for you real soon!

Oakman, I seen the water come up 10 ft on a sloped bank and flood a buddy of mine tent in 1 night.

Be careful and good luck.

How high's the water Mama!!

They are telling us that the great lakes are at an all time low and we need the moisture. I sure hope it stops raining soon for you.

It's still raining here and now it turned chilly overnight. We're going to be hard pressed to manage a campfire in this mess.

Rained here all night. Looking at the radar your rain is heading in our direction. Woke up to 34 at the camper this morning. Doesn't look good for a campfire tonight for us . Could be worse, Eau Claire got 9" of snow. All this spring rain is providing alot of mosquito breeding grounds.

The COE came in this morning and closed off more sites due to high water in our loop but we're still here.

Might be time to hook up and go to another campground or home. What's the point in staying?

I'm known to overstay my welcome. They'll have to kick me out of the campground.

But what's the point of staying when most of the cg is flooded?
