Camping dot com spam??

Anyone else receive unsolicited advertisement from
camping dot com or camping news??

Just wondering how a "legitimate" company got my e-mail address....

You are aware that when you do business with a company and register their products they ask for an email for "updates and support" they sell those right?

In the fine print you give them permission to sell your email to other companies that sell items you may be interested in based on your purchase.

This is NOT new. They have been doing it with snail mail for years.

Want to get a million solicitations for money, donate to your favorite charity. They then sell your name and address to other charities with "Easy Touch" stamped in big red letters on it.

Same with catalogs. Buy from Harriet just ONE time and you won't be able to find your letters cause your box will be stuffed with catalogs.

Good Sam has a lot going for it and I am a member; just be aware you will get a mailing a week about their insurance arm.

I think I know which one you're talking about kydan. I got one too. Could not for the life of me figure out where it came from. I "unsubscribed" and have not seen one since. I have not done anything that would have gotten me signed up for one from them. Methinks they've been doing some e-mail gathering.
