after spending 3 weeks clearing my property and running the saw for 10hrs every day I did this on the last day, decided to not wear steel toe because the excavator guy needed this 1 tree removed , learned my lesson..

Lots of good advice and warnings here. As a member the Souhtern Baptist Disaster Relief Team, we went througfh a pretty extensive chain saw training just before hurrucane Katrina hit. I spent 6 days north of New Orleans clearing trees from roof tops. I got a lot of respect for the guys that do this regularly. Proper attire, propper equipment and well rested. Most injuries seem to come when you are exhausted and take unneccessary risks.
Stihl has some great training videos online if you do a search. Everything from eye protection to bucking logs. Just FYI.
