coleman lantern restored for purpose.
My dw's birthday is july 4th so with her unusual fascination with coleman lanterns I thought I'd think outside the box and restore a 200a 1963 vintage lantern for her in Red White and Blue.
I finally recieved the hat today after being sent out to have a new porcelain coating on it.
This is the way I received it.

A very unique gift and I would like to know who gave you the idea to give it as a gift- I know you didn't think of it on your own

Very Nice...I like the old Coleman products. I have an old Coleman white gas backpacking stove I used 40 years ago that I'm thinking about restoring...
Do you plan to put some new mantles in that lantern before delivery?

I still have my Coleman stove that I started using about 40 years ago. Still works great !!
I also have a double mantle "green" gas lantern, but gotta get the "generator" replaced......it won't build up pressure any longer. Might just try a little neatsfoot oil down the shaft to see if that helps.
Neat project, Turbo !!

B, you keep forgetting who you're talking to. Wake up!!!! The only idea I've seen him come up with is the awning remote, which was good, but that's it!
p.s. Don't know for sure it was his idea, but he was the first to show it.
