Dash Cam

I have been looking at these dash cams.
Wondering if anyone out there has one or thinking of getting one also.
If so what brand and why.

I have been looking at the DVR207GS

I have one that looks the same as the link you posted but I only paid $25. It works great. I put mine in just for piece of mind. To many drivers do not respect motorhomes, cut us off and perform dangerous actions around us. I figured if ever in accident I would have a record. As a plus I have gotten some great scenery footage while traveling.

Wait for the Garmin Dash Cam 10 ... coming in March. It has been overseas for two years with good results.

The Dash Cam 20 has GPS built in ... but I think that's a bad idea in a dash cam.

Also check out the Contour brand. Very slick and not as geeky, boxy looking as the hero's

I have a Contour HD. I like it, but the Hero videos I've seen are a bit nicer. Better contrast and colors.

2000 Cherokee 31BH, lifted,LEDs, solar, inverter, etc..aka "boondock ready". '07 Tundra 5.7L DC-LB, modded as well.

Dash Cameras

Reviving this thread for 2015...

We are looking at a Dash Cam now and are confused by all the models out there. I know some of you use a Go-Pro but, looking over Go-Pro it does not seem have the g-force detectors dedicated dash cameras have. Don't really need the portability (isn't that was a smartphone is for? )

I am really looking for a "Black Box" for the truck - I saw this on Amazon and it appears to be very highly rated. Would love to have this discussion open up again

http://smile.amazon.com/E-PRANCE®-Re...0387226&sr=1-7

- I know SYE & Herk both have dash cams....any others out there?

One of the office girls has an app she bought for her Android phone.

Looks like a fairly good one and no camera to buy.
