If I wasn't towing over 12K, I'd be drinking the kool aid and buying an ecoboost

It's impressive what ford has done with the f150 matched with the TC v6! Chevy and Dodge need to take notes in the half ton pickup wars.

Dodge is currently testing a Fiat sourced V6 TD that makes a bit over 400lbsft torque and abt 240 or so hp not a match to EB in the power dep but on par torque wise.

As to Crocus I believe he has been banned some time ago.

We have Ford Escape as well, an 09 with the 3 liter V6 and I love it, it really is like driving a go cart with 240hp and they really sing and love to rev.

road and track magazine recently commented on the durabilty testing of fords ecoboost. their favorite test to see was an ecoboost engine runing at full tilt until the exhaust glowed red. shutting it off and runing supercooled water through the system until frost formed on the dyno plumbing, and repeating the process. for a week.

i know they all do similar tests, but it would be fun to watch. especially since it would be on their dime and not mine. as far as diesel 1/2 tons go, the prices would be at/near what 3/4 ton diesels are at. shoot, a 1/2 ton pickup now is approaching 40,000 bucks
