I would go and sit under the awning and relax and listen to the rain - but that is me
Never know it may stop raining and you can go out and explore

this past weekend I didnt put a pitch to my awning and it had a crap load of water - am very lucky it didnt rip the awning off the side of my camper - if I had to guess I had atleast 10 gallons of water sitting in it

I would check what the weather forecast is - if it is calling for a "Major Storm" then I would maybe re-think it
If it is just rain then probably not a real big issue

Wear your rain gear and do what you would normally do when it's not raining. A campfire might not work though.

There is something to be said for getting away in your camper, sitting outside under the awning, and relaxing...rain or shine!

If you can cancel your reservations without penalty then that would be my choice and save this one for another day. If you can't then don't let the rain stop you from enjoying the area. We enjoy walks around the park (under umbrellas of course) looking/dreaming at trailers and the neat ideas people are coming up with. If it's not windy then take advantage of that awning and sit and read a book or relax. Don't get stuck inside all weekend try to mix it up a little.

Last weekend on our rain tour around the park we discovered, for those non-windy days, an awning that clamps right onto your picnic table.

It is suppose to lighting unsure about tornadoes. If I cancel I lose first night money which is 18 bucks. Between two nights and fuel its about 135 dollars. I have by tomorrow at 5 to reschedule with no pentaly.
