CW is way over priced. Found portable ice makers online for way less. Used an off brand for a month straight. Made enough ice a day for our two coolers with only an occasional block thrown in for good measure. Remember the ice is soft feozen. So gardening it in a freezer is a good idea.

We purchased the Igloo countertop icemaker from Walmart online for $119 and are pleasantly surprised how much we use it for cool drinks this summer(and still use it both camping and in the house). I purchased the additional year warranty on top of the manufacturers' 1 year warranty. We keep ours right by the sink in both the camper and house for a quick resevior fill up. If I need alot of ice, I will either bag early or do what I've always been doing purchasing bags of ice so I don't use all my freezer space needed for food. It is a quiet running unit too, only being able to hear the ice dumping into the basket. Ice harvest in 12 minutes!

Just purchased the Dometic for $169 from CW with $6 shipping plus $25 for a 3 year extended parts/labor warranty delivered to my door. Marked down $130. Saw it on sale last year and waited too long to pull the trigger. Plan on using it this Labor Day weekend to keep things cold.

Canadian Tire will have their Salton Ice Maker on sale starting Friday Nov 23 for $98. We have had ours for a couple of years and really enjoy it. Ours is the same as the Dometic mentioned earlier except branded under the Salton name tag.
