Here, in Northern Virginia, several years ago I plowed as a subcontractor for the DOT for some extra cash. People would try to, and did pass me on whichever side I was pushing the snow to all of the time. Around here, people don't know how to drive when there is snow on the road.

I plan on passing snow plows to the south.

Way south.

Like Florida.

I've passed snowplows on the right before. It was a 3-lane road and he was in the far left lane throwing the snow to the left so I really had no other choice...

In OH, the plows that have the LED flashing lights, also have a dimmer switch that is usually always on. When my brother plowed and people would tailgate, he would turn the dimmer off. Was guaranteed to make whoever is back there to back off a couple hundred yards! They are bright!

That's what I was wondering. How else can you pass them if they are in the far left lane?

You know who would do it;

  • The drivers who text and drive
  • The drivers who drive slow in the fast lane
  • The drivers who tailgate
  • The drivers who run stop signs and red lights
  • The drivers who wander from lane to lane
  • Etc.

It's something that allows us to not have to shut the entire state down when we get a couple of inches of snow.
