Dually with TPMS
Just purchased TPMS 507 with Flow-Through. Kit came with 6 sensors; installed 4 on TT & 2 on TV (front). I had to use valve extensions on TT as base of sensor was too short. No extensions were needed on front tires of TV. All is working properly.
I now need to install on the Dually tires and want recommendations. Outer tires should be ok without extensions or might need a short 45 or 90 degree to accommodate sensors. Inner tires are my problem area as the stem is inaccessible with outer wheels on.
What type of extension do you Dually drivers use? Length and curvature ? Heavy duty rating of stem extension for 80 psi tire? If a short stem are you able to get reception on monitor of sensors behind outer wheels? Is it best to run an extension from inner wheel to be flush with outer surface of outer tires?
I want the setup of inner tires to allow me to get transmission from sensors and also be able to add air easily. Currently is very difficult to get to stem to either add air or install sensor.
TIA
