Our mosquitos must be wise to it- we have tried the Avon stuff and have been eaten up. My MIL swears by it; wife and I, not so much.

DEET works well if you can stand it. SSS Avon is also pretty good. Skeeters are just about the worst critters out there. Tiny, noisy, hard to see, stings, blood thirsty little buggers - cant say enough about them. Rum seems to work for me. Either they don't like the smell or I just don't care.

Do you rub it on, or drink it? I've always got that in my bloodstream and haven't noticed them staying away.

I am from Florida but stuck in Canada for awhile, I can handle mosquito's, what I can't handle are these Canadian Black Flies, I swell up like a balloon when bit, nothing seems to keep them away from me.
