These zappers get more than mosquitos (like fire-flys?).
The evidence would seem to indicate that we have a pretty poor history of predicting our effects on the environment (although some of that is corporate greed overriding good science).
But ok, I'll play. Perhaps the birds don't like the taste of zapped mosquitos so you're taking away their food supply. Or with all those zapped mosquitos, they just sit around on the couch, get fat and lazy and can no longer protect themselves from predators so they die off. I think that would be sad, but I imagine we'll see a new thread soon with the topic "Do You Shoot Those Noisy Birds (that interfere with me listening to my Boom-Box)?"
