All we have around here is the 10% blend, but it's all gasoline. Can't find any without it.

All the pumps around me say "could contain up-to 10% ethanol" so you don't know if your getting it or not.

Looks like rust, which is caused by water which is absorbed by ethanol. So it might not be caused by ethanol.

What you also don't see is all the rubber the ethanol has severely deteriorated.

Example. .........

Must be the Iowegian weather, been using the stuff since it came out and never had a problem. Heet is nothing but ethanol strictly for moisture absorbtion. We ran methanol in our race car and had no problems other than a white chalk like coating we cleaned out of the 38mm flat slides every week.

Could it have been dirty fuel from someone?

Some what related to ethenol. Since it lowers your fuel economy, you need to burn more fuel = more emissions, aka pollution, into the atmosphere to arrive at your destination.

Since we now produce more oil than Saudi Arabia, and through good old American ingenuity, effectively have access to known oil reserves to power us into the distant future, wouldn't it make sense to try and mitigate potential damage to internal combustion engines. Thats not even mentioning all the energy burnt to plant, harvest and distill the ethenol.

At least lets use more efficient fuels (gosh we have plenty) until a more viable alternative is discovered. Just sayin'

Iowa snowmobile association "state" funded has started a campaign "look before you pump" for recreation vehicles.

The issa is starting to receive some funding from the fuel tax of non ethanol fuel.
