They used GM chassis with an Oldsmobile 455 engine and were front wheel drive.Turbo Hydramatic 425 trans, I used to work for GM, Had the pleasure to replace many engines in them, LOL

They used that setup in a Airstream? That sounds like a GMC motor home. I didn't know that.

They also used this same Design for their "Funeral Coaches" the casket was in the rear and the Family would be forward! A Funeral Home in Dayton,Ohio had one for a time,looked odd to see a RV?? leading a Funeral Procession! Youroo!!
