Fishing and Hunting News

I thought this was big news for the outdoor world.

The privately owned Bass Pro Shops is expected to make an offer soon to buy the publicly traded Cabela’s (CAB on the NYSE).

Yep. It will likely happen. Personally, I only live 10 minutes from bass pro but like Cabelas much better for most of my hunting and fishing needs.

A shame. Cabela's is the epitome of what customer service should be in America. BPS has turned into Walmart for Outdoors. Johnny Morris is a great guy. Dick Cabela passed away a few years ago.

One issue has been Cabela's credit card company, a wholly owned subsidiary (and my favorite CC ever). It's a cash cow for Cabela's and they are not wanting to give it up. BPS has tried this before.

We'll see..........

I have friends that will only use the Cabela's card (they only have two cards) they will be lost if Cabela's card goes away.
