Ford for Dodge
I was in Liberty Lakes Wa having warranty work done on my flagstaff and decided to take a drive over to Kellogg Idaho to Dave Smith Dodge (biggest seller of Ram trucks in the US) Well they gave me a deal I couldn't refuse on a new 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie off road 4x4 Diesel. So bye bye F350 6.0 diesel, someone will get a great truck.

Congrats! I show will love to see some pics though, we just drove pass them just last week going to Billing, Montana, I was going to buy my from Dave Smith just before last Dec. but they kept giving me the run around so I order mines from Dennis Dillion which is a large cars and truck seller.
I see that you are a retired Navy Soldiers, thank you for your service, I did twenty eight years in the Army and like to thank our's soldiers.

It won't "Turn off", you can only "Mute" it by pushing the button in the center of the volume dial.

I just saw that about the radio on the Dodge forum, 60K+ truck and you can't turn the radio off? There has to be some underlying reason, I can't believe it was an engineering oversight.

Honestly, what's the difference? If you mute it, it's "Off" and if you don't want to look at it, you can manually turn the screen off with the "Screen off" button or switch the screen to the phone or climate. Mute/Off are the same thing in my book on a device with no actual buttons.

Or switch the input off of Radio to another input that you know will be inactive like USB or Disc.

It's a learning curve now that I have had the truck for several weeks I understand why it is setup the way it is and how to navigate around the radio never being able to turn off like my old less electronic vehicles. I very much like the system now that I understand it.

I hear ya, but have a different take. Why not use their money for a small fee and let mine work at something else.

One thing I found out about the radio is when I got my 5er, to change the onboard elect brake settings you must go thru the radio, that is crazy to me. it took me a couple of months to find it and then it was by accident.
