Gas price down.
The local Walmart Murphy's was advertising Self Serve Regular for $3.13.9 this morning.
How low can it go?

It dipped below the $3 threshold for about 5 minutes a couple weeks back.

Sure not going down in FL or at least in Orange City, FL where we filled up. $3.46/gal. Was $3.09/gal on I26 in SC. Oh well, just the CODB to enjoy the warm weather.

Like I said, just get GasBuddy - it will use your GPS and poll the local ~10 mile area and report on best gas prices. We use it all the time when we make the Christmas trek to MI
(Oh, and if you have a Sirius POI database on your truck nav, it will do essentially the same )

Use it, but it doesn't lower the prices.

What I find amusing (AND confusing!!) is seeing 2 gas stations across the street from each other - one is, say, $3.65/gal the other is $3.10/gal
BOTH will be equally busy!!?? WTF?

I bought gas at .82/gallon in 1998 at my local Brookshire's. In 15 years time the price has on average quadrupled. It breaks $3.00 now and we rejoice. Pretty sad, if you ask me. I'll call it LOW when it reaches $1.50. It's still HIGH as all get out at $3, just not stupid HIGH like at $4.

At the rate it's going here in Ontario it will be $3.00 a litre.
We must be the most screwed people around. If it's not the exchange rate, it's the world demand, next storm that might blow in, 1 refinery excuse, etc etc,
We need to boycot the oil companies sooner than later.
Perhaps we are paying for the gulf spill cleanup.

Putting things into perspective: I remember paying $.26/gal - when I was making $5000/year. When I retired 6 years ago, was making well over 100K, more than 20 times more... 20 times over on the price of gas would put it at $5.20/gal. .. Don't think I'd want to go back to the old days!

The oil companies aren't dumb - they know we need the fuel and when the price comes down a little from being way up, we rejoice.
Also in all fairness, look at what we now pay for a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk now compared to what we paid 15 years ago.
