Wmtire - thanks for the Moonpie information. Always interesting to know the background of things like that.

One custom I became aware of after moving to Texas was the practice of putting a package of salted peanuts into a bottle of Coke before drinking.

I always enjoyed that, but now since it is difficult to find Coke in bottles it seems to be disappearing.

Maybe that's where I got it from. I lived in Tx for about a year as an adolescent. Not to far from where they made Dr Pepper. I still put peanuts in coke.

Please do not mention Dr Pepper again if at all possible

At least some of those will resume operations simultaneously with Georgia. Emporia, which is already hiring, according to listings on online job sites, will likely be among the reopened locations, he said. Corporate operations will be run out of Kansas City and Dallas."
I do live in Schiller Park. My street dead ends into the Hostess plant here. Like I said earlier the "bakery" facility has been a ghost town except for a overnight security guard since they shut down last year. About a week ago there have been all kinds of trucks and cars in the parking lot. It would be a great thing if the plant reopened. Our town really felt it with all the lost jobs. The only downside is all the traffic and people speeding down my street because they are late to work at Hostess.
