Getting ready for potential Season's First Big Snow

Forecast in our area is calling for 6 to 10 inches of wet snow tonight into tomorrow with high wind gusts. We've had a very mild winter from a snow standpoint, but Mother Nature isn't going away soon. Spring is only a little over 2 weeks away and can't get here soon enough for me. Glad I have a full tank of gas in case we lose power. We have some big pines across the street with our power lines running right through them. It only takes one branch to break and we'll be in the dark. Hope it's not as bad as predicted. Be safe and be prepared.

First predictions here yesterday were from 8 - 10 ", then they dropped it to 6 - 8". Late last night it went to 2 - 5". At least it's going in the right direction. Hopefully you won't get hit too hard.

Our local utility company already has 500 emergency responders from out of state on their way to Maryland. The biggest fear will be the high winds with limbs covered with wet snow. Guess we'll see as the day passes how much of a change will occur. I remember in 1983 they called for flurries and a possible light dusting. When it finally ended a day and a half later we had 20+ inches. Usually when they predict the big bad storms we'll don't get hammered as bad as they predicted. I've got gas in the snow-thrower, plenty of TP, Bread and Milk. As my brother-in-law says, yummy Toilet Paper Sandwiches and a glass of milk. It don't get any better than that!

I'm not happy about the coming snow. I had just started scheduling this year's camping trips and was thinking warm thoughts. This snow can go suck an egg.

Same here, we just finalized our June Vacation around 6:30 last night. I'm ready to start prepping for the upcoming camping season, but I guess that will have to wait until this storm passes and everything dries out.

Didn't work here. First day of spring came and went and we still had a snow storm. The ground's still covered today 3/27.

PS, I have one of those Sheri navigators too!
