25% reality. 75% staged. Much better than the 100% drivel that makes up the rest of TV.

Good point - I never noticed that.

I don't recall Volvo being a sponsor on the program and would they put up that kind of money without being a sponsor?

If Volvo is some sort of sponsor, old Dakota Fred must have ticked them off because he doesm't have any Volvo equipment.

I wonder what Jimmy Dorsey is doing now? He’s the one that got into a fight and ended up leaving the show in mid-season.

I also wonder how James Harness managed to get more morphine when he ran out in the first season? In one episode he was portrayed as addicted to morphine for his back pain and unable to function because he didn’t have anymore of the drug, and the very next episode he has morphine again and he’s working.

Once you catch that gold fever it is hard to break.
Here are a few nuggets from Alaska as well as here in Arizona.
I use my Minelab gold metal detector

And I thought I watched the show closely, but you got me beat with these questions.

I remember Dorsey and IMO they are better off without him

Good question about Harness and his morphine habit - I didn't know he was taking morphine. I knew it was some sort pill and you see in one shot that one of his bottles had the Safeway store symbol on the cap.

I wonder if his pain bothered him much while he and his girlfriend were staying in town?

Drinking Game for Season 3

Take a big drink anytime;

The commentator says “against the odds,” or “going for broke.”

Whenever Todd or Jack makes a prediction about how well they are going to do.

Every time Jack says "I know what I am doing" but doesn't.

Every time Todd rubs his head and looks at the ground and says something dumb.

Anytime you hear, “1000 ounces.”

Its simple. The only reason these jackwagons are still mining like this is because no one could turn away from the train wreck of the first season. After that, Discovery made sure they were able to make more seasons....I guarantee they had a lot of help keeping things rolling after that first season.
