Anyone watch Bamazon, about a bunch of morons from Alabama looking for gold down in the Amazon. They came out with less than $20,000 of gold, pretending they made a few bucks. Heck, their expenses would have been many times that.
These dumb, and very fake, "reality" shows are like a cancer, filling the air time of channels that used to show something useful and interesting.
Now it is just cheap-to-produce garbage.
Have people really dumbed-down that far?

I thought the show last night was rather boring. The one highlight was when Jim Thurber and Chris Doumit revealed that they wouldn’t be back for next season and then Parker offered the two a job on his new claim for next season.

Todd Hoffman going to South America for next season? Ha ha ha ha ha!! And what did they do with that huge trommel that Todd Hoffman brought in this year. Sell it or abandon it? I would love to know the actual operating and equipment cost the Hoffman crews incurred and how much NET profit they made, if any.

You probably left the room for a refill . I know they will rerun the last episode so I'll watch it again just to make sure. IIRC it was toward the end.

Yeah, the guy bought it back, its operational, and getting gold. I think it just needed some fine tuning. Todd made it a point to say that there are many trommel machines that are operational and that work quite well. I tend to agree with him and feel that if he had more time to fine tune it and didn't go so big, it probably would have been fine.

I just finished watching the Gold Rush episode, Making of the Motherlode. It’s interesting that the builder of the huge trommel that Todd Hoffman abandoned took the tommel to a nearby mine and turned it into a gold producing machine. Apparently the trommel only needed minor modifications. Todd Hoffman is an idiot but he makes for good television.

Well there is going to be a 5th season of Gold Rush. It will premier on October 17th and I believe the Dakota Boys won't be back this year. Just the Hoffmans and Schnabel. I have no idea where the Hoffmans will be mining.

I've watched it each year and reached one conclusion - the Hoffmans, both Father and Son, are clowns who couldn't mine a gold nugget even if it was big enough to stumble over.
