Watching Todd is like watching a train wreck. You know he's gonna crash & burn ... you just aren't sure how bad. It seems like every week he screws up bigger.
Dakota Fred is almost as bad...
I find myself only watching the parts with the kid and his crew. While he is a kid and makes all the mistakes kids do...He seems to be the only one who actually knows what he is doing.

Atleast parker has a decent sense about right and wrong "most" of the time.
I'm sure the camera crew adds more to it then really is and makes good "tv" drama.

How about the Bering Sea crews? They are so dysfunctional that I am surprised they found the ocean. They make Todd look good...and that isn't easy.

I agree about Todd being an idiot. He should be fired and Dave should take over. Anyone who would order a "trumel" without a "drop day delivery date" or without a severe penalty for non-delivery should have been fired on the spot.

Like Gold Rush - the Bering Sea show is rigged - they never show Vern's other five boats that he is suppose to own - how can one guy that cannot get a good crew for one of his boats be making money with the other five?
Discovery is pouring money into that show also,
I have not seen one boat run a solid 8 hours mining - and this guy Scott, he needs to be wearing handcuffs.

Your right. I have never watched that show because of the trailers. The characters all seem to be idiots. I wouldn't let any of them mow my grass much less work around heavy equipment.
Kinda like watching the Tuna show. I've have done my fair share of yellow fin tuna fishing, not the same as the bigger blue fin, but give me a break. I guess it is different when you do it recreational with a good crew than doing it for a living I quess the prerequisite is the crew needs to be a bunch of buffoons.

I looked on their 316 Mining web site and it states that Todd's background is aviation. How I would love to put my FAA inspectors badge back on and do an inspection of his place and work.

I thought Todd had some kind of minister/preacher training.
I think next season Dave will break away and form his own crew. IMO he's a great leader. Last night it looked like his frustration with Todd has just about peaked.

I think your right!
Dave alone could get a thousand oz. With half the problems and issues.
But I guess that would not be reality drama tv.
Someone just needs to punch Todd in the snoz just to bright him to reality.

I think I recall something being said about that also, but his bio and their home page doesn't mention anything about religion.
I think Dave comes from a successful family that runs a quarry out there.

I wish Dave would just tell Todd to go away! as was said he is the best leader on that claim. Todd just needs to step down and let the person that knows what he is doing call the shots.
