I think that the narrator once said that the terrain has to be put back to its original condition once it's mined out.

See what happens this next season with Gene leaving Parker.......Gene is the smarts of that outfit.
I believe the Homans made money last season also. And of course Tony Beets is already a millionaire.

I agree Parker will have a tough time without Gene. I wonder if someday he'll go off on his own if he could find the financial backing.

He's trying to do that now-he's looking to try to new land if he can put the money together.

You want to bet Grandpa helps him out?

Send a message via Yahoo to bob caldwell
The Hoffman Construction co. was based in Portland, Ore. and I had an uncle that had worked for them. They were very big out here.

I know Parker is looking for his own claim to mine. I was wondering if Gene would ever consider running his own operation.

Ive wondered about that too, especially where they divert stream into ditches and then just dump the waste water wherever? If you even started to do that here, the DNR would have you in jail for life.We cant even trim a tree if its within 200' of water.

Not sure on Gene. To me he looks like he's content with working for someone else.

I got a feeling he'll be back in the show.
