HEY! You can see my daughter's house from there!......... Well, she can see P Pike from her house, so I figured...............
You ride the Royal Gorge??? I told the lady conductors what that river looks like on the OTHER end where I live, and they were amazed......never even thought about it. I had to laugh.......
Nice pics, thanks. I'm jealous.

Did not do the Royal Gorge and she lives in a beautiful area there. We did do the Gorge bridge near Taos New Mexico over the Rio Grand when we were there.

We did the train ride through the Royal Gorge. I thought it was much better than being at the top of the gorge and walking across the bridge. The scenery was very interesting.
Safe travels to you today.

Kalona Iowa has a little city park with several sites. Just have a drop box. Put site # on envelope & I think $20 per night.
Small town. Visitor center runs a small tour bus around to some Amish businesses. Store-cheese-factory etc. I think it was a free tour. If not it was cheap. East central Iowa

There is no comparison to Amish crack. Not even the phenomenal NC Jelly donuts here in town where they fill the donuts in front of you. They even have a caramel topped apple filled donut. Have I convinced you to come visit yet?

Yes, perhaps a visit to the Betty Ford Clinic for a few days after Goshen would be in order😃

Also why in North Platte the wife wanted ice cream for dessert so she heard of a local place located on the other side of town near a park, so off we went. Well we found it and a nice little gem, it was in a city public park and was a concession stand, soft serve but very reasonable, the bonus was the park, very nice even had the town band there for a concert that night, a small zoo, rec fields and courts and even small rides for the kids, even looked like a public pool was next to the park, small town Americana something hard to find these days.
